Lanchonete Da Cidade is definitely the best house of hamburgers in São Paulo. Elected three times the best house os hamburger by the journal VEJA. Located in the Jardins, the place is a mixture of the 60’s for example the decoration of the tables, the illumination and the windows with a modern architecture. The atmosphere is great, very informal and cozy and all the waiters are polite and efficient. But the best is in the menu, among more than 30 options of hamburgers the most famous is the Bombom, 220 grams of noble meat covered with fresh tomatoe sauce and served on French bread, cheese, salad and bacon may be chosen as a complement. Another option is the Supimpa, for those who like bacon and onions, served with onions and covered with cheese from the house. And for those who like salads they have a great variety and a good option is the Caesar Piu Piu, made of lettuce with slices of grilled chicken, croutons, parmesan cheese and a pasta of salsa aliche.             The metal and wood decoration makes the place relaxing and very informal. When you’re there it’s like if you were on the famous old burger stores on the 60’s. Not everything looks like the golden age of burger: waiters uses palmtops to sign your order in and instead of jukebox, modern speakers play contenporany music. It combines the best of two ages. 

             But not everything in this restaurant is good. For example: the burgers are too fatty and the pictures not always represent what will come to your table. The place is frequently too crowded and if you want to eat on Saturday, you’d better arrive at least one hour earlier. Don’t expect to stop your car in front of Achapa, the nearest you park your car is usually two or three blocks far.
