Almanara is a restaurant that has arabian food. It was inaugurated 55 years ago and it is a traditional arabian restaurant.

The menu is all about arabian food, you can eat great food there. The atmosphere there is great, the decoration is beautiful, very cozy. It has almost everything in red and brown, like: the seats are red and the rest is brown. The service is not so fast, but it’s good.

New Dog is a great restaurant in São Paulo. People of all ages go there because it has a really good food, but my favorite one is its cheeseburger!  The place is famous for its milkshakes that are covered with chocolate, caramel or marshmallow. The menu has also different kind of food like chicken, but I recommend those hamburgers.

There are two fat men, holding each one an ice cream, painted on the ceiling, and the place is well lighted. The atmosphere is harmonious and the service is pretty good.

You can go there with your parents or your friends, but I go most of the times with my friends. If you go there with anyone you want to, you are certainly going to have a great meal.

Outback Steakhouse is an informal restaurant decored with Australian style from the 50’s. The atmosphere is young and happy and it’s also very pleasant to be there with friends or family. Outback was made in the United States in 1988 and now there are more than 800 restaurants there and other 120 in 22 different countries. The menu includes big portions; six of them are steak varieties, fish, shrimp, chicken, pork meat, pasta, sandwiches, soups and salads.

One of the most tasty dish is the Ribs on the Barbie; which is a portion of exquisite pork ribs grilled and dunked in sauce (barbecue or billabong) served with spicy fries and a bowl of cinnamon apples. In my opinion it’s the most outstanding dish in the world. And it costs only $39, 99.

The waiters and waitress there are friendly and funny, they always talk to you and give tips when you don’t know what to order.

It’s a simple, but famous sandwich house founded in 1956 in Oscar Freire Street, popularly called Frevinho. It’s a small place, never empty, where the service is pretty good. Everybody in there is always paying attention on their costumers. The atmosphere is nice and the decoration isn’t anything unforgettable although is pretty clean, nothing new because it seems that the place is the same of the 60th’s, pretty common. There is a big variety of sandwiches, juices and food, the house is famous for its Beiruths, which, by the way are the best in São Paulo. All Frevo’s costumers come back and become faithful clients, it’s a great place to hang out with friends or with the family because it’s a very comfortable and nice place. The prices are reasonable depending of the food you have ordered, a simple Cheeseburger is R$8,00 and the simpler Beiruth is at least R$13,00.

I recommend for people who have a delicate taste the Carpaccio Beiruth, it’s pretty good and tasty; and for vegetarian people try Naturalíssimo, a Beiruth too, wonderfully tasty, and full of salad ingredients all pretty fresh. There’s a great Beiruth called Double that takes fillet mignon, bacon, cheese and tomatoes, that is wonderfully good. The juices there are all natural and fresh. There aren’t lots of kinds of desserts, but the ones offered are nice like the Sundae, or any other ice cream or fruit.

Frevo has two more establishments, one in Augusta Street, and the other in Iguatemi Shopping. One bad thing about it is that, on weekends (at night) is really crowded, but it is worth wait! It is definitely a great place for all kinds of taste.

Lanchonete Da Cidade is definitely the best house of hamburgers in São Paulo. Elected three times the best house os hamburger by the journal VEJA. Located in the Jardins, the place is a mixture of the 60’s for example the decoration of the tables, the illumination and the windows with a modern architecture. The atmosphere is great, very informal and cozy and all the waiters are polite and efficient. But the best is in the menu, among more than 30 options of hamburgers the most famous is the Bombom, 220 grams of noble meat covered with fresh tomatoe sauce and served on French bread, cheese, salad and bacon may be chosen as a complement. Another option is the Supimpa, for those who like bacon and onions, served with onions and covered with cheese from the house. And for those who like salads they have a great variety and a good option is the Caesar Piu Piu, made of lettuce with slices of grilled chicken, croutons, parmesan cheese and a pasta of salsa aliche. For dessert they have the Taça Manhattan, served with one or two balls of Häagen-Dazs ice cream and a delicious brownie covered with chocolate syrup.

As the younger brother of another famous restaurant (Spot), Ritz is the best place if you want somewhere that serves every kind of food.

It’s fun even if you arrive late (it opens at 1 p.m) and have to wait for a table. You can order for a helping of its famous fried “rice-cake” and sit in front of the bar, just looking at the modern people who enter the restaurant.

The best thing served in Ritz is the cheeseburger: the best in São Paulo. You can choose from the basic one, or the Jubileus Burger’, with melted cheese, american lettuce, slices of ripe tomatoes and delicious onion rings inside it. The three mini-hamburgers with three different types of sauces are really good too. And you can choose between a bowl of fresh salad, potato fries, onion rings and fried “rice-cakes” to come with your burger.

But you should definitely prove Ritz’s pastas. The best one is the penne served with all kinds of mushrooms and a salty sauce made of cheese, but the penne with aspargos is also really tasty.

And you must order the Chocolove as the dessert: a big bowl of exquisite chocolate ice cream topped with whipped cream and crunchy chocolate chip cookies dunked in it. Oh, and a really sweet cherry on the top! The marvelous sweet apfelstrudel (a kind of apple cake) with a homemade taste is a huge success too. Or, if you are on a diet, you might want to choose the “Frutas da Estação”, some fresh ripe fruits with vanilla ice cream, kind of tasty and light (honestly, not too much!).

Don`t forget the extraordinary good juices and drinks. And remember to go there by the launch time. At night, the Jardins’s restaurant (there are two Ritz) is very crowded and it becomes a GLS’s place. But it’s still fun!

That`s what I like about Ritz: the service is fast and efficient (the waiters are all young and really beautiful: one has appeared in G! Magazine!), the food is amazingly tasty, you can meet every kind of people and the British decoration, with a pub’s atmosphere, never loses its charm!
