Achapa Hot Dog® is a hamburger specialized restaurant founded in the 60s, being one of the first in its category on São Paulo. When the hamburger showed itself successful in the USA, Achapa brought it to São Paulo. Traditional, unique and insuperable in quality, it uses the best ingredients on its handmade hamburgers.
On the menu, customers can choose between many different types of hamburgers and sandwiches, with hundreds of types of sides, like fresh fries and onion rings. For those who prefer a salad, Achapa is the right place too; it offers a great variety of fresh vegetables served with delicious sauces. To drink you can choose between natural juices, soft drinks, but the house’s specialty is the milk-shake. You’re able to mount your own meal: you choose the sandwich ingredients, the sides, the drinks and the dessert.
Good examples of the famous sandwiches served on Achapa are the classic Monster Burger, with 50% less fat than the tradicional; the “Batatas Country Wedges”; the exclusive “Onion Straws” and the all new line of “Low Carb Salads”. The “Philly Melt” and the “Garden Filet Mignon” can also be included. Another brand new sandwich is the “Danger Max Dog”, typical from the border of the USA with Mexico, made by sausage, mayonnaise and bacon. The most famous drink from the house is the “Oreo Shake”, a blend of vanilla ice cream and Oreo cookies.
Achapa has always been innovative: it is the brand new hot spot of Jardins. The frequency couldn’t be better. People from all ages (kids, teens, adults and even old people) come to Achapa only trying to have a good meal and talk with the family or friends. Everyone has a great time at Achapa!
The metal and wood decoration makes the place relaxing and very informal. When you’re there it’s like if you were on the famous old burger stores on the 60’s. Not everything looks like the golden age of burger: waiters uses palmtops to sign your order in and instead of jukebox, modern speakers play contenporany music. It combines the best of two ages.
But not everything in this restaurant is good. For example: the burgers are too fatty and the pictures not always represent what will come to your table. The place is frequently too crowded and if you want to eat on Saturday, you’d better arrive at least one hour earlier. Don’t expect to stop your car in front of Achapa, the nearest you park your car is usually two or three blocks far.
